I finally got back to knitting today, finished up a pair of gloves and started a shawl.
The scarf today is a fabric one, covered with purple and pink flowers. It’s different because there is elastic sewn up the middle so it bunches up. It’s nice and light, especially in this cold weather. But we hit 50 degrees today so YAY!!
Not a long post today so I can get back to knitting.
Can you believe that there’s only one day left in November?
Today’s scarf is a pseudo-cowl. It’s another Enterlac piece that I made.
My first blog post about Entrelac can be read here, my very first Scarf of the Day. This wasn’t really a pattern in the book but just the tutorials in the beginning included how to do Entrelac in a triangle.
I had bought three skins of Lion Brands Hometown USA, I knit something up but didn’t like it. So when it was all done I undid it and made something else.
I ended up not liking that either so I undid it and made this instead.
I love the way it ended up and how the colors helped enhance the pattern. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get something right.
Have you ever finished a project just to undo it and start over again?
It’s cold again today. But I had to venture out because there was too good a deal to pass up on some pie pans. 🙂
Well today I’m sharing a scarf I got at H&M. Not my local one but the one in Indianapolis.
In 2012 for Super Bowl XLVI. And no I didn’t go down to watch the game. I went to watch Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
When my brother found out that they were bringing the show for the weekend my brother got us tickets.
It was so much fun. But we had to wake up early to get down there and get in line for the tickets. We made a trip out of it so our parents went with us. After we got our wristbands we met up with them. My mom and I walked around Circle Center Mall and my dad and my brother did the Super Bowl Village.
I found this scarf and loved it. The leopard print pattern was beautiful and it’s a hint of pink. I also found some pretty bangles.
It was a fantastic day and I loved spending it with my brother, mom and dad.
The scarf today is a knit scarf that I received for Christmas 2011.
I come from a big extended family so for Christmas we do Secret Santa. Everyone fills out a sheet of what they would want no more than $10. We each pick a name out of a hat and everyone gets to open a present after dinner while we’re together.
In 2011 one of my cousins picked me and I had asked for yarn , of course, candy and a scarf. Well I got candy and a scarf.
It’s a knit fabric that’s striped with my favorite colors so I think he did pretty well.
